Toshogu involves a fair number of steps, including about 200 up to the tomb; you can skip that final climb. Kegon Falls and the lake are near step-free. Tell us about mobility needs and we'll plan around them.

Yes. A "deep Nikko" version drops most of the shrine complex and adds Ryuzu Falls, the Senjogahara marsh boardwalk and Yumoto Onsen.
The Irohazaka road is kept open year-round but can need snow tyres or chains December–March, which we carry. In a heavy storm we'd keep the day to the town and shrines.

A slower Nikko — a proper look at Toshogu and its quieter neighbour Taiyuinbyo, the thunder of Kegon Falls, and the still water and back-country trails around Lake Chuzenji.
